David of Scandinavia: Shimmies!

Description

Level: Mixed Perfect your shimmy, hagallah, and ghawazee shimmies. This workshop will focus on taking various shimmies from the basic form to introducing how to use them to embellish Middle Eastern dance movements. Working through shimmies for folklore, Sharki and movement embellishments will not only open new ways of understanding these concepts but also enhance the dancer’s confidence and execution of shimmies in general. This workshop is geared towards dancers with some dance experience to experienced dancers
